Abstract
:
The main object of this project is to study and describe the using of the record values arising from Logistic model, to make some statistical inference ( estimation and prediction ) for this model. • The problem of estimating the parameters and some lifetime parameters (Reliability and Hazard functions) are considered. • The Bayes estimators are obtained using both the symmetric (squared error) loss function, and the asymmetric (Linear-Exponential (LINEX) ) loss function. • The statistical performances of the Bayes estimates have been compared to each others and to those of the maximum likelihood ones using Monte Carlo simulation study. • We describe a method for using record values to construct prediction bounds or intervals for the future records. • Finally, some numerical examples using real data sets are given to illustrate the application of the results. • The expected results of this project are very useful in a variety of applications, Such as population growth, Bioassay, medical diagnosis and public health.
