Abstract : Search field single that teach knowledge of the specialists in the field of library and information science in the graduate program in Saudi universities still suffer from a lack of studies that dealt with career paths in general, and knowledge management in particular and that affected the preparation of plans and academic programs of the sections of libraries and information. The aim of this study was to analyze the content of the results of studies in the symposium "specialist library and information: rehabilitation and the needs of the labor market in GCC from April 16 to 19, 2007"; to know what kind of backgrounds and skills required of employees in the labor market to get life experiences Life experience, which compels us In this study, in addition to the application form practical, made in the same seminar in the study of "Carpets Rahman and Sultan Daihani" to collect experiences from the previous analysis as a basis supports do design the track, and as such has been taken and compared to three models of graduate programs in the schools of library and information in the United States for the management of knowledge, in order to design a program proposal for the path of knowledge management for higher studies in Saudi universities, as deliberately study to assess the graduate program at the University of King Abdul Aziz University of Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University and the Faculty of Arts for Girls in Riyadh, being sections only provide graduate majoring in library and information, and to see the possibility of how linked to the path of knowledge management in the future.
