Abstract : The study aims to identify the research methods used in the field of Library and Information Studies and substantive fields. Has adopted researchers to analyze published studies patrols (Journal of Library and Information Arab, and the Journal of King Fahd National Library, and recent trends in library and information) in the specialty of library and information since 2003 and even in 2007 as one of the patrols pulp in the specialty. Has confined the study (40) number in five years included (267) study adopted (219) approach, and (132) an instrument of data collection, contained (338) subject in (10) thematic areas in the specialty of libraries and information.
