Abstract : Libraries aim to provide knowledge and information in different forms and various types for beneficiaries, and for that libraries harness their budgets for the development and organization of their collections and recruitment of information specialists qualified to do their part towards access to information, and this access is through various information services offered by libraries to the beneficiaries to meet their information needs. Without such services there is no justification for expenses paid for organizing groups or on buildings or personnel or equipment. The aim of this research paper is to identify the information services provided in the public libraries of the Ministry of Culture and Information, and measure the extent to which those services conform to the provisions of the Statement of Principles issued by UNESCO on public libraries.
