Abstract : This research aimed at identifying the role of electronic application in building knowledge society and submitting a proposed model for the role of electronic application in building knowledge society. To achieve the objective of the research, a descriptive methodology was adopted, the researchers prepared aquestionnaire consisted of 20 items divided into three dimensions as follow: the role of lectronic applications in knowledge creation, knowledge using and knowledge transfer. The sample of the research consisted of 70 students in post-graduate programs in King Abdul-Aziz university. The results of the study showed the great role of electronic applications in building knowledge society, the first role was for knowledge transfer, then knowledge creation, and knowledge using. In light of these results, the researcher suggested a proposed a odel for the role of electronic applications in building knowledge society, finally, there were some recommendations to produce a variety of electronic applications in all fields of the knowledge, to enrich the digital Arabic content to build a knowledge society
