The poetry theme is one of the most important elements of poetry.
Themes describe many things including feelings and meanings for some
poets, especially the romantic poets that who use metaphorical
expressions . Theme research is a very important way to discover the
colors and meanings of the poetry of one of the most famous Saudi poets
who is Taher Zamakhshary through his two publications; “The Nile” and
“The Green.”
These two publications have covered most of the themes in his poetry,
and this study would lay the spot light oh how amazing and outstanding
this poet ability in using themes in his poet, and how he can use these
themes to indicate its meaning and expressions.
This research started with an introductory about the poet then it indicated
how important and unique his theme is. The research was divided into
two chapters, the first chapter focuses on the indicative meaning, which
includes the primary and secondary meanings and their indications. The
second chapter focuses on the indicative terminology whether they are
terms related to the self or to other individuals which flirtatious poetry is
considered to use this this theme heavily in praising, memories and some
other related fields. In the third section the research studied the themes
related to the place and time. The second section was addressing the
artistic side of the themes, which show Zamakhshary true amazing
ability in choosing the right theme with the right indication. In the first
section, the research studied the standardized and derivative linguistics
terms, and the reasons why the poet chose these certain terms. The
second section of this chapter addresses the composite and individual
themes, and studied the artistic side of the terms used by the poet and the
verbs that the poet derived his artistic side from. The third section
addressed the external rhythm of the poet which is embedded in the
poetry structure, and the internal rhythm of the poetry which is in the
vocal structure of the poetry. The study connect these two with the
meaning. This research investigated the structural, analytical and
psychological aspect of the poetry. This study came to the conclusion
found out that the color of black, red and white are the most colors used
by Zamakhshary. Also, he used other colors to help him express his
feelings and artistic side in his poetry, which had a non-colored
indicatives. Also, he used metaphorical structure to express his feelings
and meanings. |
