The current research aims at studying and investigating the book titled "Fathu al-Khabir bi-SharhiMiftahi al-Tafsir", written by 'Mohammed Mahfouz bin Abdullah al- Tirmissi.More specifically, itcovers the partfrom "nicknames" to the end of the book. It includes an introduction, study of the book, investigation of it, a conclusion and finally the appendixes. In the introduction, the researchersheds light on the importance of the topic, its rationale, previous studies, outline of the researchand its methodology. Chapter one, which is the study, has two sections. The first introduces Sheikh Abdullah bin Fudi and has two parts. The first illustrates the age in which Sheikh Abdullah lived with respect to the political, social and scientificsurroundings. The second introduces his name, birth, life, journey of learning, academic rank, sheikhs, students, beliefs, Islamic doctrine, publications and death.The second section presents Imam Al-Tirmissi and has two parts; the first introduces the age in which he lived, whereas the second discusses his biography: his name, birth, life, his journey of learning, academic rank, sheikhs, students, beliefs, Islamic doctrine, publications and death. Chapter two, on the other hand, has two sections as well. The first introduces the book; its title, author, methodology, resources, and description of the manuscript. The second section closelyinvestigates and examines the book. It is this section where I worked hard to present the text, as intended by its author, and write it according to the modern spelling rules. Finally, the conclusion includes the most important implications. Based on the research, it is essential to acknowledge the importance of this book for it explains a valuable text written in Quranic sciences. In the appendix, there are lists of verses and Hadiths used in the research. Moreover, there are lists of figures, strange expressions, references, topics and some other ones. |
